Benton County Election Commissioner Bill Williams removed employee time cards, resumes and copies of email from the commission offices last week.

The Investigation

Committee Members

County Judge Bob Clinard appointed a three-member committee on Wednesday to look into allegations of misconduct by members of the Benton County Election Commission.

Committee members are Justice of the Peace Shirley Sandlin, County Clerk Tena O’Brien and County Attorney George Spence.

An internal investigation must be performed before the state Legislative Audit will conduct an investigation. The state will be asked to take a thorough look at the Election Commission if the internal investigation finds anything questionable, Clinard said.

I do not understand this paper calling for the removal of E. J. Miller as Chairman of the Benton County Election Commission. Once again, I repeat myself; you are painting Mr. Miller with a very broad brush.

We are in agreement that Bill Williams MUST go!! After his admission of stealing, (borrowing for research) County documents. What else did he take, alter or destroy that he did not disclose? And what is up with body soap and Shampoo; is Williams taking baths in the County Election office, is that permitted? Forty (40) pounds of records Bill Williams took out of the office....makes one wonder.

I would like this newspaper to show cause why E.J. Miller should be removed from the Election Commission. What has he done so wrong, other than having to put up with the Bill Williams sideshow. Miller ran one of, if not the best elections Benton County ever had, during the 2010 Primary.

The citizens of Benton County know all to well and are in agreement that Bill Williams should be Tarred and Feathered, but, not Mike Sevak or E.J. Miller.

Bill Williams is the very bad actor in this drama!

.

Williams is obviously having a long "Bella Vista moment."

He needs treatment. Like Benton County Judge Dave Bisbee who used
the fact that he is illiterate as a defense in court, Williams needs to plead old age disease and move on.
