Cato Beats Keller for School Board Position

Voters in Pea Ridge elected Ann Cato to Position 5 on the school board.
Cato received 178 votes (74 percent), beating Dorothy Faye Keller who gathered 61 votes (26 percent).
Cato said she has experience as an attorney, accountant, prior service on an educational-related non-profit board (American Indian College Fund) and other non-profit boards. She said she would bring her diverse skill set to the school board.
Voters also approved the current millage of 44.8 mills with 132 votes (56 percent). Those against totaled 105 votes, or 44 percent.
Results will remain unofficial until approved by the Benton County Election Commission.
