City Council To Review 2011 Budget

A prolonged sluggish economy is keeping a tight grip on finances at the City Administration Building. As the City Council enters its annual budget season, the region’s economic circumstances have created little wiggle room in city coffers, prompting officials to consider undesirable options such as dipping again into reserve, raising property taxes or cutting services.

• 2008: $27,511,357

• 2009: $26,280,652

• 2010: $13,014,211 (first six months of the year)
