Army National Guard Pvt. Kristian L. McPherson finished basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C., earning the distinction of an honor graduate.
She graduated in 2010 from the Army National Guard Plus Program in Little Rock. She is the daughter of Pam McPherson of West Fork.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Brittany N. McCarville graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, which grants four credits toward an associate science degree through the Community College of the Air Force. She is the daughter of Michael McCarville of Fayetteville and Tracy Brown of Sulphur, Okla.

Air Force Airman Casey B. Marsh graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. He is the son of Cindy Engelke of Siloam Springs and a 2006 graduate of Siloam Springs High School.
Wells
Army National Guard Pvt. Carl D. Wells has graduated from the multiple launch rocket system crew member advanced individual training course at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla.
Wells is the son of Beverly Wells and Glenn Wells, both of Springdale.
His wife, Heather, is the daughter of Paul and Sue Neven of Springdale.
The private is a 2005 graduate of Springdale High School.
Arkansas National Guardsmen who earned U.S. citizenship were honored Oct. 22 during the 233rd Regional Training Institute in North Little Rock. Through a special program offered by the U.S.
Immigration Service, military enlistees with authorized “green cards” as permanent U.S. residents may complete an expedited citizenship process. The usual citizenship fees of $600-700 are waived.
