Christian Women Hold Country Fair

The Christian Women’s Connection annual country fair will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Clarion Inn, 1255 S. Shiloh Drive in Fayetteville. There will be crafts, baked goods, white elephant items and a silent auction.

Speaker will be Coleen Johnson from West Branson, Mo. Cost of the luncheon is $13. Drop-ins are welcome.

German-American Club Meeting

The Northwest Arkansas German American Club is seeking new members. The group meets every second Sunday of the month from 3 to 5 p.m. at 1600 Graham Road in Bethel Heights.

AAUW Hosts Ginger Beebe

The Fayetteville Branch of the American Association of University Women will meet Nov. 9 in the Pat and Willard Walker Room of the Fayetteville Public Library.

Keynote speaker will be the first lady of Arkansas, Ginger Beebe, speaking about women and children’s issues, the Women’s Foundation of Arkansas and the Foundation’s Girls of Promise Program.

Networking time will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the program at 6 p.m.

Quilters Quilt Every Tuesday

Son’s Chapel Quilters meet from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesdays to hand-quilt baby quilts. The sale of the quilts supports the maintenance of the National Historic Register building. The group quilts from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

and then has lunch together in the basement. Members will teach new quilters, but also have needs for those who can assist in putting the quilts together.

Ladies Day Out To Visit Dayspring

Ladies Day Out will visit the Dayspring Outlet in Siloam Springs on Nov. 16.

The organization will provide goodie bags for all who attend. The group will meet at 10 a.m.

at the St. Bernard Catholic Church parking lot at 1 St.

Bernard Lane in Bella Vista for this outing.

Quilt Group Meets Monday

The Pieces ‘N Patches Quilt group will meet Monday at Peace Lutheran Church, 805 W. Olrich St. in Rogers.

The business meeting will begin at 10 a.m., and the program at 10:30 a.m. Linda Nonken from Grove, Okla., will present the program on “Things I’ve Learned Along the Way” and includes a trunk show.

Republican Women Will Host Writer

Republican Women of Bentonville will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the Wal-Mart Community Room at the Bentonville Public Library, 405 S. Main St.

The one-hour meeting will host writer Melanie Elliott, whose book is titled “Why Am I Conservative” and subtitled “24 topics For kids or anyone.”

The meeting is free and open to the public.
