Early Voting Continues Today

— In two weeks of early voting, 6,486 people in Washington County have cast their ballots for the 2010 general election.

This week, 3,904 people voted, according to the Washington County Clerk’s Office. During the first week, 2,582 voted.

The county has about 98,000 registered voters.

By the end of early voting in 2008, a presidential election year, about 22,700 voters had cast early ballots.

County residents still looking to vote early can go today to the Washington County Courthouse on North College Avenue from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or the Springdale Rodeo Center at 1423 E. Emma Ave. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Springdale location will be closed Monday. Early voting will still take place at the courthouse from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Election day is Tuesday with polls open from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
