BENTON COUNTY RELIGION NOTES

— Central United Methodist Church in Fayetteville, 6 W. Dickson St., will host an organ concert with five local organists at 3 p.m. Nov. 7. The organists are Bob Mueller with Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, Charlie Rigsby with St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Fayetteville, Kerry Johnston with First United Methodist Church in Springdale and Marci Milus and Jonathan Story, both with Central United Methodist in Fayetteville.

The concert will begin with “The Stars and Stripes Forever,” presented by Story on piano. All other selections will be on organ, with a couple of organ/piano duets. The program will last about an hour and 15 minutes.

There is no charge. A reception will follow.

Joan Hunter of Joan Hunter Ministries will lead a three-day teaching and healing event Nov. 19-21 at the Northwest Arkansas Ministry Center in Bella Vista, 2262 Forest Hills Blvd. Service times are 7 p.m. Nov. 19; 9:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Nov. 20; and 6 p.m. Nov. 21.

Seating is limited and preregistration is required. There are no registration fees, but a love offering will be received.

Evangelist Yan Venter will minister at Word of Life Fellowship in Bentonville at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Sunday. Venter’s mission is to stimulate revival in local churches, bring lasting change into people’s lives, help develop a fresh hunger for a move of the Holy Spirit and demonstrate Christ’s message with signs, wonders and miracles.

The Women’s Ministries of Bella Vista Assembly of God, 1771 Forest Hills Blvd., will host their annual Chili & Potato Soup Dinner on Friday. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dinner will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The menu includes chili, potato soup, salad, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children ages 5 to 12. Children 4 and under eat free.

Advance tickets are recommended. They are available at the church office from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The women of Christ the King Lutheran Church and All Saints Episcopal Church in Bentonville are finalizing plans for their annual fall bazaar and bake sale.

The event is slated from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 6 at Christ the King Church, 406 W. Central Ave.

Breakfast will be available at 8 a.m., and lunch will start at 11:30 a.m.

Bella Vista Christian Church will host a free concert by The Messenger Quartet, a Southern gospel musical group, at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Rehearsals begin at 10 a.m. today for the new adult musical, “A Christmas Invitation.” All area singers are invited to join. The group will be accompanied by an orchestra at 4:30 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Bella Vista Christian worship center.

United Lutheran Church in Bella Vista, 100 Cooper Road, will host a Reformation celebration potluck supper in honor of Martin Luther at 5 p.m. today. Bel Canto will sing and the Lutheran church ladies will meet Martin and Katie Luther.

The Rev. Darrel Johnson will begin his ministry at the church on Sunday. He will lead both the 8:15 and 10:30 a.m. services. He and his wife, Barbara, come to Bella Vista from Richardson, Texas. His official installation service will be Nov. 21.

First United Methodist Church in Bella Vista, 20 Boyce Drive, will host a celebration of All Saints’ Day on Sunday at all services. The members who have died during the past year will be honored.
