Woman Pleads Guilty To Unemployment Theft

— A Springdale woman has been sentenced to probation, fined and ordered to pay restitution after pleading guilty Thursday to stealing public benefits.

Amy Jean Rosales had a job and was receiving unemployment, according to Deputy Prosecuting Attorney David Bercaw.

Rosales pleaded guilty in Washington County Circuit Court and was sentenced by Circuit Judge William Storey to five years probation, fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $3,257 in restitution and related penalties, plus various court costs and fees.

The thefts occurred between July and December 2008.
