A piece of Arkansas’ aviation history, on standby since the early 1970s, is scheduled for final departure. The original passenger terminal at Little Rock National Airport, Adams Field, built in the early 1940s on the tail of the Great Depression and the eve of World War II, soon will be razed. Used for storage by the airport and as occasional offices by others since a new terminal opened in 1972, the old building will be replaced by a parking pad for unusually heavy aircraft.
