Donald Lee Terry

SPRINGDALE — Donald Lee Terry, 71, of Springdale, Ark., surrounded by his loving family, succumbed to his battle with cancer on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at his home.

Don was born on July 17, 1939, in Fayetteville, Ark., a son of Alvin Terry and Marie Thompson Terry. He had retired from the Standard Register Co. in Fayetteville, where he worked as a receiving clerk.

He was very active at his church before his illness, having taught Sunday school at the First Freewill Baptist Church, and later becoming a member of United Baptist Church in Springdale. Don had been a volunteer firefighter in Tontitown and volunteered at the Tontitown Grape festival for many years.

He was an Army veteran and a ham radio operator, with his call sign being KB5KZP.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carolyn Benson Terry of the home; his mother, Marie Terry Barnes of Springdale; three children, Donna and husband, Johnny Rhodes, of Lowell, Karen and husband, Bill Wilcher, of Caddo Mills, Texas, and Brian and wife, Minerva Terry, of Springdale; one sister, Ann Fowler of Fayetteville, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and countless members, young and old, of the Christian faith which he cherished working with.

He was preceded by his father, Alvin Terry, in 1988; and one sister, Carolyn Goff.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at the Springdale United Baptist Church. Brother Jim Spurlock and Brother Mark Wood will officiate the service with burial being held at the Elm Springs Cemetery, under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale.

Ronald Lee Lester

LINCOLN — Ronald Lee Lester, 67, of Lincoln died Oct. 27, 2010, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs. He was born Nov. 27, 1942, in Lubbock, Texas, to Walter Lee and Lilly Jane Whiteley Lester. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Lester; two sons, Tracy Lester of Lincoln and Dallas Wade Lester of Westville, Okla.; a daughter, Kristie Lynn Eddings of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dutch Mills Cemetery Pavilion in Dutch Mills.

Arrangements are by Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove.

Winnie Jones Nall

PRAIRIE GROVE — Winnie “Sue” Jones Nall, 74, of Prairie Grove died Oct. 28, 2010, in Prairie Grove. She was born July 14, 1936, in San Antonio to John Arthur and Lurie Myrtle Rutherford Jones. She was a member of the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church in Prairie Grove.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Michael “Mike” Nall and wife Lynn of Prairie Grove and Johnny Mark Nall and wife Donna of Cane Hill; two daughters, Cathy Dillion and husband Robert of Springdale, and Jeannie Moffett and husband Steve of Prairie Grove; two sisters; one brother; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 7 p.m. today at Luginbuel Chapel in Prairie Grove.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the New Sulphur Free Will Baptist Church in Prairie Grove. Burial will be in Truscott Cemetery in Truscott, Texas.
