Edgar Sitler Greenlee

ROGERS — Edgar Sitler Greenlee, 74, of Rogers died Oct. 25, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Bentonville. He was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Tacoma Park, Md., to Frances Lucile Sitler and Herbert Greenlee.

He was a charter member of the Wheaton, Md., Rescue Squad, worked at Centurion Security Company and served in the Coast Guard.

Survivors include his wife, Vonnie H. Greenlee; a son, Edgar S. Greenlee Jr.; a brother; a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. today at the National Cemetery in Fayetteville, with full military honors by the VFW of Rogers.

Arrangements are by Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Lorraine K. Barnard

BELLA VISTA — Lorraine K. Barnard, 93, of Bella Vista died Sept. 16, 2010, at Northwest Medical Center of Benton County in Bentonville. She was born Oct. 29, 1916, in St. Paul, Minn., to Harry Arthur Bowman and Winifred Grace Newlun.

She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church.

Survivors include a son, Gary Barnard and wife, Barbara, of Versailles, Mo.; and two daughters, Linda Coulter and husband, Bob, of Springfield, Mo., and Kathy Townley and husband, Harv, of Bella Vista.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Bella Vista Community Church Chapel, 75 E. Lancashire Blvd.

Arrangements are by Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory.

Ida A. Knox

BENTONVILLE — Ida A. Knox, 92, of Bentonville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010, in Bentonville. Mrs. Knox was born June 10, 1918, near Lamar, Colo., the daughter of Lee Rollie and Bertha May Creech Forsythe.

She was a licensed minister for 53 years with the Assembly of God Church and a member of Radiant Life Church in Bentonville. Mrs. Knox moved to Bentonville 14 years ago from Tulsa.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Neil Knox; her son, David Leon Knox; and her daughter, Nancy Marie Hanson.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Lowry and husband, Lester, of Enid, Okla., Ida May Jobe and husband, Bobby, of Dallas; brother, Raymond Forsythe of Pensacola, Fla.; sister, Doris Jefferies of Aline, Okla.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Radiant Life Church in Bentonville.

Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Radiant Life Church, with Pastor Lester Lowry and Pastor Galen Pearcy officiating.

Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Memorial Park Cemetery, Big Springs, Texas.

Glee Ann Foster

BELLA VISTA — Glee Ann Foster, 74, of Bella Vista died Oct. 26, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice — Legacy in Bentonville. She was born Aug. 24, 1936, in Port Jefferson, Long Island, N.Y., to William and Marjorie Dykes Stankey.

She was employed as a bank teller, winning several awards.

Survivors include two sons, Richard “Dick” Foster of Bella Vista and Todd C. Foster and wife, Sandra, of Webster City, Iowa; a daughter, Lisa Moser and husband, Kevin, of Morton, Ill.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Bella Vista Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd.

Rex Glenn Deason

ROGERS — Rex Glenn Deason, 76, of Rogers died Oct. 27, 2010, at the Circle of Life Legacy Village Hospice in Bentonville. He was born Aug. 17, 1934, in Rogers, to Glenn and Mary Ann Howard Deason.

He served in the Army and worked as a heavy-equipment operator for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Darlene Deason; two sons, Rodney Deason and wife, Carla, of Gravette, and Randy Deason of Tontitown; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Benton County Memorial Park Funeral Home in Rogers.

Graveside services will be private.

Frona Kate Nichols

PEA RIDGE — Frona Kate “Johnnie” Nichols passed away on the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at the age of 92. Johnnie was a lifelong resident of the hills of Benton County, having been born to William Lee Gregory and Mary Maud Henry in Bentonville, Ark., on Aug. 13, 1918, and most recently residing in Pea Ridge, Ark.

She was one of four children — her brother, William Gregory, and her sisters, Edith Gregory and Jane Fergus, preceded her in death.

Johnnie was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell Nichols, who passed away in February of this year at the age of 95.

Survivors include daughter, Karen Inlow of Tontitown, Ark.; stepsons, Benny Nichols of Rogers, Ark., Jerry Nichols of Pea Ridge, Ark., John Nichols of Utah; stepdaughter, Donna Nichols of Illinois; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and cousins.

Johnnie was an industrious person who was actively engaged in the community. During World War II, she worked for McDonnell-Douglas in the manufacture of C-47 aircraft for the Allied Forces. Johnnie always had an inclination towards business — after the war, she worked as a bookkeeper for over 40 years at the Farmer’s Exchange in Bentonville, and in addition managed beef and dairy farming operations with Russell. She was a lifelong member of the New Home Church in Pumpkin Holler, outside of Bentonville.

Visitation will be held at Stockdale Funeral Services in Rogers, Ark., on Friday, Oct. 29, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Pea Ridge on Saturday, Oct. 30, at 10:30 a.m., with Randy Featherston officiating.

Burial will be in the Bentonville Cemetery.
