well on minnows and black/chartreuse jigs fished

around brush. Bass are biting well on blue/chartreuse

crankbaits and peanut butter and jelly jigs fished around rocks near the mouths of the backwaters.

Catfishing is good on cut bait and night crawlers.

2. LAKE CATHERINE White bass and

hybrid fishing have been good below thedam for the past several months. Walleye

fishing has tailed off some, but good numbers

of bass are still being caught during periods of current. Brightly colored jerkbaits also work well.

have been taken below the dam and bridge withgizzard or brood shad used with a balloon rig.

3. GREERS FERRY White bass and hybrids are on a tear following shad all over the lake and will eat all day until the temperature gets down to 60 degrees or so. Black bass are scattered from shallow out to 60 feet. Crappie are biting

jigs tipped with a minnow fished in pole timber suspended in

15-20 feet in 60-100 feet of water. Walleye are showing up some

but are scattered. Bream are hitting crickets shallow.

4. LAKE NORFORK Crappie fishing has been good using minnowsand tube jigs. Bream fishing is good on crickets. Catfish have been doing well. Striped bass are spread throughout the lake. Walleye fishing

has been fair on night crawlers and medium-sized shiners. Bass fishing is

good using a variety of soft-plastics and jigs. White bass are being caught

using Roostertails and jigging spoons.

5. LAKE OUACHITA Largemouth bass fishing is very good using topwater baits and jigs. Walleye fishing is still excellent with most being caught on spoons fished 20-25 feet deep around brush. Stripers fishing is still fair with live bait and downrigged hair jigs. Bream fishing is fair using worms or crickets in 15-25 feet of water. Crappie fishing is excellent near brush 20-30 feet deep using minnows or Tennessee shad crappie grubs. Catfish are being caught on cut bait and live bait on jug lines and trotlines.
