Best Wishes For Mayor Jordan

— Fayetteville Mayor Lioneld Jordan’s recent health scare appears to be resolved, and without the surgery previously thought necessary. We’re glad to hear it.

Jordan, 57, suddenly experienced temporary vision loss on Oct. 16. Doctors later discovered that the event had been caused by a blockage in an artery in the mayor’s neck. But because other blood vessels had developed across the front of his brain slowly over time, obtaining blood from the left artery, Jordan avoided a stroke.

Doctors eventually declared him fit to return to work, which he did on Wednesday.

Welcome back, mayor, and best of health to you.
