ASU releases TV schedule

Arkansas State will have three men’s basketball games televised this year.

The Red Wolves’ game with Georgia on Dec. 18 will be televised on Comcast Sports South at 11 a.m.

The other two will be on the Sun Belt Network for Sun Belt Conference games against Western Kentucky on Jan. 1 at 7 p.m. and UALR on Feb. 26 at 3 p.m.

Arkansas’ Tubert continues to lead

Arkansas freshman Emily Tubert continued to lead the Razorbacks’ women’s team in the second round of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown in Boulder Creek, Nev., on Tuesday.

Tubert fired a school and course record 63 in the first round and followed with a four-under-par 68 Tuesday, for a 131 total and a six-stroke lead.

The No. 19 Razorbacks tied No. 11 Arizona with the lowest rounds of the day at 276. Arkansas leads the field with a 553 followed by the Wildcats with 571 (295-276).

Trojans men fifth at Memphis

The UALR men’s team carded a 297 in the final round of the Memphis Intercollegiate on Tuesday to finish fifth at the 15-team event. The Trojans entered the final round in 10th place in the team standings, but matched Missouri for the second-best score of the day to move up to fifth.

Sophomore Nicklaus Benton led the Trojans with a five-over par 221 (72-74-75) total to finish in a tie for eighth place.

South Alabama captured the team championship with a 14-over 878 total (293-297-288), finishing seven-shots up on second-place Akron (885).
