GADGETS & GIZMOS

— We first spotted this platter at a craft store in Branson. The platters, available in shades of brown, clear, green and blue (pictured), are made from wine and liquor bottles that have had the labels removed, and then been fired in a kiln.

Each platter comes witha color-coordinated (and often whimsical) spreader. The platters are made by Jim the Bottle Guy, aka James Mormann, of Pittsburg, Mo. Bowls and larger platters are also available.

$15.95 and up: for retail information visit jimthe bottleguy.com.
