ON TV CONTEST

— It’s that time of year again. The new TV season is well under way and a few shows, like Lone Star, have already gone to the chopper.

So, the TV judge asks: What TV show do you think is most deserving of a long life? Why?

Will you pull your hair out if you don’t get the chance to find out what’s happening on The Event? Would you be lost without your weekly Big Bang Theory fix?

This is a wide-open contest. All are welcome: old and new, “reality” and scripted, animated and live-action. The only restriction is it must be a series that is still producing new episodes.

Your entry may take any form you choose, whether a legal brief, a regular essay or a song set to the Cheers theme. The judge likes it when you get creative.

Send the entry (one per contestant), including your mailing address and daytime phone number, to Jennifer Nixon at 121 E. Capitol Ave., Little Rock, Ark. 72201; or by e-mail to [email protected]. Entries must be received no later than 3 p.m. Nov. 22.

The reader with the best-written entry will get to choose from Judge Nixon’s Fabulous Prize Pile of TV DVD sets.

Who can enter: Anyone except the winner of the last contest, Kaye Ichniowski of Fort Smith, and Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and Northwest Arkansas Newspapers LLC employees.

Note to privacy-conscious readers: We do not compile lists of mail or e-mail addresses for evil plots or marketing purposes. All entries are destroyed after the judge has selected her winner.
