UCA extends streak

Central Arkansas (21-6, 10-0) won its 15th consecutive match Saturday in a 25-21, 25-22, 25-14 victory over Texas State in Conway.

Central Arkansas has won 32 consecutive conference matches and 26 consecutive at home.

Jessica Hays had 15 kills. Hays is third in the nation in total aces, and second in program history with 146.

UALR topped by FIU

UALR (2-16, 0-8) lost to Florida International 25-18, 25-19, 25-10 Friday in Little Rock. Eva Xie led UALR with six kills. Emily Pepperman had 20 digs.

Arkansas-Fort Smith defends home

Arkansas-Fort Smith (16-12) won its 14th consecutive home match Saturday 25-16, 25-21, 25-20 over St. Mary’s.

Arkansas-Fort Smith hasn’t lost at home in more than a year.

KatyBeth Carlson and Jettie Stec had 11 kills each. Keely Rivera had 20 digs.

Arkansas-Fort Smith has four more home matches this season.

John Brown beats visitors

John Brown (17-13) beat Bacone 25-12, 25-22, 25-14 Saturday in Siloam Springs.

Erin Didier and Amber Wilson had 11 kills each. Sarah Jordan had 14 digs.

UCA men falls on senior day

Central Arkansas (3-11, 0-5) lost to Creighton 2-0 Saturday on senior day in Conway.

Central Arkansas had just two shots on goal.

Creighton has won 22 consecutive regular-season road games, dating back to 2006.

Hendrix men win, women tie

Hendrix’s men’s team (5-7, 1-5) beat Oglethorpe 1-0 Friday in Atlanta.

Duncan Keegan scored in the third minute of overtime for the victory.

Hendrix’s women’s team (1-9-1, 0-5-1) tied Oglethorpe 0-0. Goalkeeper Allison Mosley had nine saves.

FIELD HOCKEY

Hendrix women win in conference

Hendrix (5-7, 1-5) beat Sewanee (Tenn.) 1-0 Saturday in Conway for its first conference victory this season.

Taylor LaFortune scored in the sixth minute.

SWIMMING

Henderson State teams beat OBU

Henderson State’s men’s beat Ouachita Baptist 131-96, and its women’s team won 124.5-109.5 Friday in Arkadelphia.

Andrew McCornack and Jennifer Rodriguez won all the diving events. The men’s team took all three top spots in the 200-yard freestyle, and Nicole Horn won the women’s 100 freestyle in 53.09.
