— 1st Quarter

ARKANSAS 14, MISSISSIPPI 10

Ole Miss received the first break on linebacker Allen Walker’s interception of Ryan Mallett on the Hogs’ first snap. On third down from the Arkansas 28, Jake Bequette crunched Ole Miss quarterback Jeremiah Masoli and Jerico Nelson recovered the fumble. A 46-yard throw to D.J.

Williams set up Knile Davis’ 2-yard touchdown run. The Hogs needed three plays for their next score, Greg Childs’ acrobatic catch and somersault for a 23-yard touchdown.

Dylan Breeding pinned the Rebels with a 54-yard punt to the 4 late in the quarter, but a pass interference penalty against Arkansas let the Rebels out of the deep hole.

2nd Quarter

ARKANSAS 21, MISSISSIPPI 3

Ole Miss kept up its ball-control plan, helped by Jesse Grandy’s onehanded catch for a 21-yard gain.

Arkansas had two possessions in a row end up with fourth-and-1 punts.

From the Ole Miss 35, the Rebels’ Tyler Campbell got off a 62-yard punt, but he outkicked his coverage, giving Joe Adams a head of steam.

Adams raced down the right sideline for a 97-yard touchdown, the longest punt return in school history. Ronnie Wingo fumbled a swing pass and D.T. Shackleford’s 19-yard return put Ole Miss at the Arkansas 3. But the Razorbacks’ defense held, forcing a 22-yard field goal.

3rd Quarter

ARKANSAS 24, MISSISSIPPI 10

Arkansas drove to the Ole Miss 22, but two sacks bogged the series down and Zach Hocker came on for a 46-yard field goal. The Rebels showed an offensive spark, with Rodney Scott’s tackle-breaking 45-yard run, and Jeremiah Masoli hit Ja-Mes Logan on an 18-yard post for a touchdown. Play was delayed for 58 minutes because of lightning with 5:06 to play in the quarter. When play resumed, Jake Bequette and Jerico Nelson snuffed an Ole Miss fake punt.

Arkansas receiver Greg Childs and quarterback Ryan Mallett both came out of the game late in the quarter.

Masoli ran 23 yards on the final play of the quarter.

4th Quarter

ARKANSAS 38, MISSISSIPPI 24

A bizarre sequence - when Arkansas Coach Bobby Petrino challenged a tipped-ball pass interference - negated a third-down sack. Ole Miss cashed in with a touchdown to make it 24-17. Knile Davis charged 71 yards to give Arkansas a two-touchdown lead. Ole Miss bounced back behind a 46-yard Jeremiah Masoli keeper and his 22-yard touchdown pass to Markeith Summers. The game was delayed a second time because of lightning, this time for 31 minutes, with 9:04 to play.

When play resumed, Tyler Wilson passed to Jarius Wright for 26 yards on third-and-4, setting up another Davis touchdown.
