Razorback tied for sixth

Arkansas senior Kelli Shean shot even-par 72 Friday for a sixth place tie heading into the final round of the World Amateur Team Championship in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She trails the leader by six strokes.

Shean is representing her home country of South Africa. The team is in forth place.

Arkansas Tech wins at Harding

Sarah Von Lienen had 14 kills to lead Arkansas Tech to a 25-23, 25-13, 25-14 victory over Harding on Thursday in Searcy.

Brennae Benda had 20 digs for Arkansas Tech (23-4, 8-1). Emily Tate had 20 digs to lead Harding (12-9, 6-2), which fell out of a three-way tie for first place with Arkansas Tech and Christian Brothers in the Gulf South West Division with the loss. Mollie Arnold and Lisa Copeland had nine kills each.

Lady Lions sweep Dustdevils

Arkansas-Fort Smith won its 13th consecutive home match and swept the season series with Texas A&M International with a 25-22, 25-13, 25-18 victory on Thursday in Fort Smith.

Jettie Stec led UAFS (15-12) with 11 kills and Whitney Hale had 13 assists. Jacquelynne Matula led Texas A&M International (1-20) with 10 kills. Brittany Faison had 16 assists and Desiree Ortiz had 19 digs.

John Brown loses

Erin Didier had 16 kills to lead John Brown in a 17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 23-25, 13-15 loss to Southern Nazarene (Okla.) on Thursday in Siloam Springs.

Alyssa Hanson had 39 assists for John Brown (16-12, 4-6) and Sarah Jordan had 24 digs. Danielle Hampton led Southern Nazarene (20-11, 5-5) with 18 kills and Taryn Steele had 46 assists.

UALR women tie North Texas

Dana Pearson scored her second goal of the season and Jane Picarelli made a season-high 18 saves to lead the UALR women’s team to a 1-1 tie against North Texas on Thursday at Burns Park in North Little Rock.

Pearson’s goal came in the seventh minute on an assist from Danielle Dunsworth. North Texas (11-5-2, 6-2-1) countered with a penalty shot by Ellen Scarfone in the 22nd minute.

The Mean Green outshot the Trojans (6-11-1, 2-6-1) 30-9, including 19-3 in shots on goal.

ASU women lose

Arkansas State lost its final home match of the season to No. 21 Denver, 2-0, on Thursday in Jonesboro.

Denver (15-2, 9-0 Sun Belt) got both goals from Kaitlin Bast in the first half. The first goal came off a header from a corner kick by Nicholette DiGiacamo in the 10th minute. The second goal came in the 16th minute on a one-timer to the far post.

Goalkeeper Megan Stoltzfus made seven saves for ASU (7-9-1, 3-6).

Harding men lose to Lyon

Harding failed to score for the third consecutive game, losing 3-0 to Lyon College on Thursday in Batesville.

Lyon (8-4-1) got a pair of goals in the first half from Serhiy Zhykin (7th minute) and Martel Reid-Warden (34th minute). Spencer Smith added the third goal in the 81st minute.

Harding (2-11) has not scored a goal since Cameron Rose scored against Hendrix on Oct. 12, a span of more than 300 minutes.
