John J. Watkins and Richard J. Peltz wrote a treatise titled The Arkansas Freedom of Information Act about the Arkansas law regarding which records and meetings are open to the public. The General Assembly enacted the state Freedom of Information Act in 1967.An article Friday about the state Game and Fish Commission drafting its own freedom of information policy failed to make clear that Watkins and Peltz wrote the book, not the act itself.
