LITTLE ROCK — A new poll shows Gov. Mike Beebe leading Republican opponent Jim Keet by 26 percentage points.
Stephens Media released poll results Friday that show Beebe, a Democrat seeking a second term, leading Keet 59 percent to 33 percent. Green Party candidate Jim Lendall has 1 percent support, with 7 percent undecided.
Stephens commission Mason-Dixon Polling & Research Inc. of Washington, D.C., to conduct the survey. Mason-Dixon contacted 625 likely Arkansas voters by telephone Oct. 15 through Tuesday. The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 4 percentage points.
Races for other state constitutional offices are neck and neck.
