MORE THAN TWICE AS MANY VOTE EARLY IN BENTON COUNTY

Scott Fendley of Fayetteville voted early Monday because he is traveling today and won't be able be able to vote at his polling place.

BY THE NUMBERS

More Early Voters This Year

The number of early voters in the nonpresidential primary elections held in May are higher this year than in previous years:

2006: 1,074

2008: 1,092

2010: 3,132 (unofficial total)
