NWAonline announces mobile apps

NWA Media announced Thursday the release of several mobile applications that feature content from the Northwest Edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Northwest Arkansas Times, the Springdale Morning News, the Rogers Morning News, the Benton County Daily Record, TunedIn and the Slophouse.

— NWA Media announced Thursday the release of several mobile applications that deliver news from the company's daily news staff.

The applications are available immediately for iPhone, Android, BlackBerry and Windows mobile operating systems.

"We're excited to give our customers the ability to get news on the go," Internet Director Mat Costa said. "This is a big step for our company as we expand our offerings to new markets and new customers."

The applications are free can and be downloaded from www.nwaonline.com/mobile. They feature content from the Northwest Edition of the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, the Northwest Arkansas Times, the Springdale Morning News, the Rogers Morning News, the Benton County Daily Record, TunedIn and the Slophouse.

The applications were developed by Handmark Inc., a company that specializes in mobile application deployment.
