Posted: March 19, 2010 at 1:20 p.m.
SPRINGDALE Northwest Health System Chief Executive Officer Doug Arnold and Chief Financial Officer Eddie Klein resigned Thursday, effective immediately, according to a press release from Pat Driscoll, system director of business and marketing.
Bill Heburn has been appointed Interim CEO of Northwest Health System. Heburn has worked with Community Health System-affiliated hospitals, most recently as chief executive of 349-bed Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham, Ala. Community Health System owns Northwest Medical centers in Springdale and Bentonville.
Arnold announced plans for an $8 million expansion of the Springdale hospital’s emergency department earlier this month. A new east-facing front entrance is also part of that plan.
A national search to replace the men is under way.
