Town aims to settle suit claiming profiling of Hispanics

An attorney for the city of Alexander will try to negotiate a settlement with the attorney for five Hispanic men whose civil rights were violated by Tommy Leath, then a patrolman and now assistant police chief, the City Council decided Wednesday during a special meeting.
