Petty Reports Bicycle Missing After Meeting

Alderman Matthew Petty, who cut a lock and took someone else’s bike for his own use last year before returning it in the midst of a police investigation, reported his own bike stolen Tuesday night.

So there is some missing detail in this report. It says that last year Petty cut the lock for the trike, but Petty said he had found it abandoned. Which was true?

Wow, I read those articles, thanks for attaching them to here! That clears up my missing detail. If Petty's act wasn't prompted by a feeling of entitlement then I don't know what is.
