LITTLE ROCK A Conway County woman whose three sons died after she drove into a lake during a nighttime thunderstorm has a change of plea hearing set in Morrilton.
Amber Turley has pleaded not guilty to three counts of felony child endangerment for the April 19 deaths of her boys — 8-year-old Aaron, 7-year-old Alex, and 2-year-old Anthony. She is due in court Tuesday morning in Morrilton.
Prosecutors allege Turley used marijuana and a prescription depressant prior to the 3:30 a.m. crash. Turley also allegedly had a blood-alcohol level of .05 percent, though the legal limit in Arkansas is .08 percent.
Witnesses told police that Turley and her children attended a party in Conway, then dropped off her boyfriend at Mallet Town before the accident.
