Wampus Cats Block Bulldogs’ Repeat Run

Fayetteville senior point guard Kikko Haydar reacts Friday after the Bulldogs lost to Conway in the 7A state championship game at Summit Arena in Hot Springs. The Wampus Cats topped the Bulldogs, 66-56. The Lady Bulldogs fell to North Little Rock’s Lady Charging Wildcats 51-46 in double overtime play. Though disappointed, Barry Gebhart left perhaps his final game as Fayetteville’s basketball coach smiling and giving handshakes on the way out.
