CLASS 4A GIRLS: Potential realized for Lady Tigers

When Prairie Grove Coach Kevin Froud first saw Elysia Clement, Morgan Abernathy and Julie Rutherford as seventhgraders, he knew they had the potential to do something special by the time they were seniors.

Little Rock McClellan was so impressive in its 72-57 victory against Wynne in the Class 5A championship, even the opposing coach said the Crimson Lions are the best team in Arkansas regardless of classification.

The Prairie Grove girls won their first state championship in the school's history, and will celebrate by going to Disneyland. Really.
