A Fayetteville man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Wednesday for shaking and injuring his infant son last year. James William King, 32, pleaded guilty to second-degree domestic battery in Washington County Circuit Court. King brought his 6-week-old son to Washington Regional Medical Center in early September because he was “acting strange,” according to police. King told hospital staff his son fell off a bed on Aug. 28 and had been shaking ever since. King told police he shook the baby because he panicked.
