Museum’s exemption costs state in lost taxes

No one knows how much sales and use tax the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art has avoided through a special exemption approved by the state Legislature before Wal-Mart Stores Inc. heiress Alice Walton and the Walton Family Foundation formally announced plans for the project.
