• The Rev. Emmanuel Katongole, co-director of the Center for Reconciliation at the Duke Divinity School, will speak at the St. Thomas Aquinas University Parish at 603 N. Leverett Ave. in Fayetteville at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. His topic is “Following Jesus in Africa: Stories from Bethany.”

• Storyteller Oda Malloy will be the featured speaker in the Forum lecture series at First United Presbyterian Church in Fayetteville at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Malloy, a native of Hamburg, Germany, and a Fayetteville resident since 1971, will discuss her experiences as a student at the International Quaker School in the Netherlands during World War II. She is a frequent contributor of memoirs on “Ozarks at Large” on radio station KUAF. A ...
