First Friday starts a new year today with a new twist.
The downtown square series is adding lunch performances and programming. Downtown Bentonville produces the events, which began in August 2008.
“We were already sort of closing things down to get ready for the evening, and what we noticed was that we had to get the tents and the stage and those things set up earlier in order to prepare for that evening,” said Daniel Hintz, Downtown Bentonville executive director.
