CLASS 2A: BOYS Beck kick-starts, wraps up victory

Conway St. Joseph went to senior post player Wade Beck early and late Thursday in handing Melbourne a 70-51 defeat in first-round action of the Class 2A state tournament.

It's state tournament time in basketball. Brandon Marcello and Nathan Allen preview the 16 teams involved from Northwest Arkansas in the various classifications as they attempt to make a run to the state championships later this month in Hot Springs.
