Retailer settling sex-bias lawsuit

Wal-Mart to lay out $12 million

Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has agreed to pay nearly $12 million to settle a 9-year-old lawsuit alleging sex discrimination in hiring practices at an eastern Kentucky distribution center.
