PUBLIC VIEWPOINT Watch Where You’re Shooting Fireworks

I’m rural. I live in Washington County in a small community where we have few public services, so we have to take care of each other. In recent years, hordes of newcomers have been moving out our way. Many are fine people, but many know little to nothing of living in the country. I know this having been one myself until I was taught by my farm-bred husband. Some of the newcomers think that now that they live beyond city ordinances, they can do whatever they want on their property. To a point, they are correct.
