Rogers Assistant Chief Receives Designation

— Jake Rhoades, a deputy fire chief with the Rogers Fire Department, was awarded the professional designation of chief fire officer.

Rhoades is one of only 693 chief fire officers worldwide, as designated by the Commission on Professional Credentialing.

The commission awards the chief fire officer designation after an individual meets criteria that includes an assessment of the applicant’s education, experience, professional development, technical competencies, contributions to the profession and community involvement.

In addition, all applicants are required to identify a future professional development plan.

The Commission on Professional Credentialing is an entity of the Center for Public Safety Excellence Inc.
