LITTLE ROCK — HIGHLIGHTS
KORY MONTGOMERY - Rogers native and blues artist Kory Montgomery has been gigging for years, including opening for stars such as B.B. King and Robert Randolph.
Still only 22 years old, Montgomery recently completed his first album, a self-titled CD that was recorded at Winterwood Studios in Eureka Springs.
He will offer songs from the new album at CD release shows tonight at Chelsea’s Corner Cafe in Eureka Springs and Sunday at Neumeier’s Rib Room in Fort Smith.

DEAD IRISH BLUES - The husband and wife duo of Greg and Marty Faiers will return to Marty’s former hometown of Fayetteville for a show tonight at Greenhouse Grille and will also play Saturday night at Celtic Grill in Bentonville. The duo, known as Dead Irish Blues, perform songs of various folk traditions, especially those with Celtic origins. Tonight’s show is from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday’s show from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Learn more at www.deadirishblues.com.

JEFF SIPE - For the fi fth consecutive year, George’s Majestic Lounge will host a tribute to musician Jerry Garcia in honor of the late guitarist and Grateful Dead bandleader’s birthday. This year, the celebration will include Mountain of Venus and Jeff Sipe, pictured, who has performed with Leftover Salmon, Aquarium Rescue Unit, the Jimmy Herring Band and others.
