JOPLIN, Mo. — Country singer Lee Ann Womack, whose signature song “I Hope You Dance” not only made the No.
1 slot on the Billboard Country Chart but also crossed over to reach the Top 15 of the Billboard Hot 100, will be performing tonight at the Downstream Casino Resort near Joplin, Mo.
The Jacksonville, Texas, native’s musical styling has been compared to Dolly Parton and Tammy Wynette, and she’s received five Country Music Association Awards, five Academy of Country Music Awards and two Grammy Awards.
Other popular songs performed by Womack include “The Fool,” “A Little Past Little Rock,” “I May Hate Myself in the Morning” and “Last Call.”
The gates of The Venue, Downstream Casino’s 6,000-capacity outdoor concert space in Quapaw, Okla., willopen at 6:30 p.m.
