ROGERS — Rogers Little Theater is accepting entries for the eighth annual RLT Frisco Festival Youth Talent Contest to be held Aug. 28 in downtown Rogers.
Application forms are available at the Victory Theater, 116 S. Second St., or at www.friscofestival.com or www.rogerslittletheater.org, where details about the talent show, rules and regulations are also available. The deadline for entries is Aug. 18, according to a news release.
The talent contest is for those ages 8 to 22 and will be at 3 p.m. inside the theater. First, second and third places will be awarded in each of the three age categories: Genesis, Junior and Senior. The winners in each category will perform Saturday evening on the Frisco Festival Main Stage.
“This event is designed to showcase the most talented youth in Northwest Arkansas,” said Ed McClure, organizer of the RLT event.
At the close of entries, contestants will be assigned a dress rehearsal date and notified of the date through e-mail or by phone. Dress rehearsals are scheduled from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 23, 24 and 25. For the dress rehearsals, contestants will need to be at the theater, dressed and ready to perform by 5:15 p.m. For more information, call McClure at 479-636-0875 during the day or 479-903-6546 after hours.
