PUBLIC VIEWPOINT: Attorney’s Fees Part Of National Insanity

— What a wonderful thing to see happen in our justice system: the loser pays the winner’s attorney fees. But I do believe Mr. Asa Hutchinson’s fees need to be reduced from $73,044.85 (as reported in the newspaper) to, say, $730. The time has come to pay attorneys what they are worth. I don’t know how much Mr. Bisbee’s services to the county are worth - not much, according to what little I’ve considered in several newspaper reports. And how much should those who took Mr. Bisbee to court be paid?

Nothing, or less, and take away their government-owned vehicles if they drive ’em (same for Mr.

Bisbee).

Court costs, counsel fees, perks, salaries of public servants - all are rising to the level of Insanity.

Hundreds have become millions, and millions have become trillions. Oh, I must have switched my thoughts from county government to federal government. Insanity?

Nah. Insanity is what a foreign oil company is doing to the Gulf of Mexico. Oops, my thoughts just switched again, from government to corporate profiteering. Did I say “insanity”?

Now, if Mr. Obama would show us his $10 birth certificate instead of socking us $2 million in attorney fees for not showing it.

Insanity? Are the Banksters in on all these shenanigans?

FUNDRAISER A SUCCESS

Thanks to everyone who supported the RogersQuarterback Club at its July 17 chicken cook.

Special thanks go to all the kids who helped us: Oakdale pom and cheer team members, Mountie cheerleaders, and Mountie and War Eagle football players. Without your help we would not have had such a successful chicken cook.

And a very special thanks to all who bought chicken and made donations to support the Quarterback Club’s scholarship fund.

Thanks to you, we will be able to continue to fund scholarships for seniors at Heritage High and Rogers High.

Once again, all of you proved why Rogers is a great place to live.
