The city of Fayetteville will host “The ABCDs of Creating Community Gardens That Last” from 1 to 4 p.m. July 31 at the Walker Park Senior Activity and Wellness Center. (ABCD stands for Asset-Based Community Development.)
The community-building event will offer tips on planning, building and managing community gardens. It will also serve as the kickoff for acommunity garden at Walker Park. The event is free and open to the public. More information is available from Julie McQuade at (479) 575-8302.
