Police Investigate Death Of 2-Year-Old

— Fayetteville police are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy found Sunday at an apartment.

Officers responded to Grandview Apartments, 401 W. 24th St. Apt. 25, about 10:50 a.m. Sunday to assist Central Emergency Medical Service with a medical emergency. Police found an unresponsive toddler identified as 2-year-old Dominic Doss, according to a news release issued at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Fayetteville police Lt. Jamie Fields said the child’s cause of death, as well as the circumstances surrounding the incident, are under investigation.

Investigators questioned the child’s parents — Brandon Doss, 29, and Amy Grub, age unknown — Wednesday afternoon.

“We’re speaking to everyone who has any interest in this case,” Fields said. “We haven’t ruled anything out. We’re still in the early stages of our investigation, but we will be releasing more information.”

Fields said she couldn’t comment further because of the pending investigation.

Police have labeled the case a “death investigation,” and urge those with any information to contact police at 587-3555.
