Theodore Carroll

ROGERS — Theodore “Ted” Carroll, 83, of Rogers died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. Ted was born Jan. 12, 1927, in St. Clair County, Mo., to the late Alfred and Mabel (Bland) Carroll.

He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy Corps as an aviation radioman. After military service, he worked in the air traffic control field starting as an air traffic controller and later serving in managerial positions in both the Kansas City Central Region and the Chicago Great Lakes regional offices. He retired after 35 1/2 years with the Federal Aviation Administration and moved to the Rogers area in 1984. He was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Rogers.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Faye Carroll, of the home; one daughter, Karen Carroll and her husband, Eric Forno, of Berkeley, Calif.; three sons, Keith Carroll and his wife, Ruth, of El Cerrito, Calif., Richard Carroll and his wife, Robin, of Terre Haute, Ind., and Dennis Carroll, of Palestine, Texas; one sister, Edith Mahany and her husband, Bill; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Ted will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Gordon Besel officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 219, Rogers, AR 72756.

Wilma Marie Fine McClain

CONWAY — Wilma Marie Fine McClain, 98, of Conway, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010. She was born Oct. 4, 1911, in Van Buren, Ark., to the late James L. Fine and Lillie (Disney) Fine.

She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leo B. McClain; and three siblings.

Mrs. McClain was a retired schoolteacher and taught in the following public schools: Thorton, Van Buren, Helena, and retiring from teaching at Northside Elementary, Rogers.

She is survived by her daughter, Margaret McClain; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Hays; two great-grandchildren, Gavin Johnson and Gabrielle Johnson, all of Conway; two nieces and extended family.

Funeral services are Friday at 10 a.m. at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Visitation is Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Mary Womack

BENTONVILLE — Mary Womack, 61, of Bentonville died July 21, 2010, at Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale. She was born May 5, 1949, in Berryville to Blanche Foster and Eskel Rivett.

She enjoyed drawing, landscaping and gardening.

Survivors include her mother, Blanche Rivett of Bentonville; three sons, Reno Gallegos of Rogers, Eskel Ross of Kansas City, Mo., and Chris Hook of Bentonville; a daughter, Norma Oster and husband Ron of Longmont, Colo.; and a sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Epting Funeral Home in Bentonville.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today, July 22, at Berryville Cemetery.

Chloedell Nora Herbig

SILOAM SPRINGS — Chloedell Nora Herbig, 88, of Siloam Springs died July 21, 2010, at Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs, Okla. She was born March 25, 1922, in West Fork, to John L. and Nita Winn Hope.

She lived most of her life in Siloam Springs and attended Twin Springs Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, James E. Herbig and wife Debbie of Tucson, Ariz., and Bob Herbig and wife Joan of Siloam Springs; a daughter, Carolyn Hedges and husband Jerry of Rogers; a brother; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs.

Arrangements are by Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

David Gregory Estes

DECATUR — David Gregory Estes, 43, of Decatur died July 20, 2010. He was born Aug. 3, 1966, in Rogers, to Albert Ray “A.R.” Jr. and Glynda Hutchens Estes.

He had lived in Decatur for the past three years, where he was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Jerrese Carwile Estes; a son, Daniel Gregory Estes of Decatur; a daughter, Joy Ruth Estes of Decatur; his parents of Bentonville; and a sister.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Gentry.
