BENTONVILLE — NorthWest Arkansas Community College received an in-kind grant from the CampusEAI Consortium for more than $1 million worth of products and services over the next five years to develop and support a technology platform upgrade.
The college selected CampusEAI Consortium’s myCampus, a Software-as-a-Service Web 2.0 campus portal and web content management solution, that provides current and prospective students, faculty, staff and alumni with access to their academic and social networking information all in one place, according to a college news release.
The myCampus portal allows users to access various systems, such as Blackboard online learning platform and SunGuard Banner student information system, through single-sign-on integration. The portal will also allow the college to send targeted alerts to students and employees via the portal, e-mail or SMS text messages. Students and faculty can also take advantage of social media through the portal to network and collaborate on assignments, according to the release.
