BENTON COUNTY — A 20-year-old Sulphur Springs man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday in northwestern Benton County.
Cody Carroll Carnahan died Saturday after the motorcycle he was driving apparently missed a corner on Honey Creek Road, just east of Mullens Road near a bridge, according to deputies with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office.
Carnahan was not wearing a helmet, deputies said.
A passerby called police Saturday afternoon after coming upon the scene and seeing Carnahan lying beside the road not moving, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.
Deputies said the accident appeared to have happened around noon.
The sheriff’s office’s Accident Reconstruction Unit is conducting an investigation, a spokesman said Monday.
