Posted: July 15, 2010 at 5:38 a.m.

FILE — With his wife Linda next to him, Benton County Judge Dave Bisbee walks down the steps of the county courthouse before a press conference concerning his arrest Wednesday for ethics violations Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Bentonville.

The last misdemeanor charge against County Judge Dave Bisbee was dropped Wednesday.

Literacy Questions

County Judge Dave Bisbee surprised the courtroom on June 3 when he testified, “I barely read and I do not write.”

Bisbee said Wednesday he still plans to hold a news conference to address issues dealing with his ability to read and write.

“I do not want it to be about Dave Bisbee. I want it to put a light on the problem,” Bisbee said.

Bisbee also said he has spoken with several people to prepare for the news conference.
