County To Settle Lawsuit
Quorum Court Votes On Settlement Tuesday

The Benton County Quorum Court will decide Tuesday whether to settle a $1.4 million lawsuit filed by TNT Dirtworks of Decatur against the county in April.
Should the Quorum Court decide to settle, $568,945 will be paid to Tim Witcher of TNT Dirtworks.
“Under the circumstances that existed, it is a very good settlement for the county, but I am disappointed that we were ever placed in this situation,” Justice of the Peace Robert Stephenson said.
Justice of the Peace Marge Wolf agreed with Stephenson.
“I am glad it will be settled. I am just sorry we had to have it settled,” Wolf said.
