Arlene Mosier has a policy.
When the weather gets cold and the roads turn icy, Mosier doesn’t leave her home on Gann Ridge Road in Garfield.
“I do not get out there. I am too old. I still get out there and drive, but I do not get out there when it is difficult driving,” Mosier said.
On Monday morning when Mosier looked out her front window, she could tell her neighbors had not left their homes either. The only sign of any movement Mosier could find was that of the newspaper delivery man, she said.
