Toomer Becoming More Assertive

Eric Burnett spent plenty of moments early this season pleading with Springdale Har-Ber’s Matt Toomer to shoot the ball more. His efforts with the 6-foot-5 senior had mostly failed entering the Har-Ber Holiday Basketball Tournament.

Undeterred by Toomer’s reluctance, Har-Ber’s coach tried a different tact before Wednesday’s game against Conway. Burnett addressed his team in the Wildcats locker room and asked Toomer to stand up next to him.
